About Kenya Accreditation Service

The fundamental purpose of Kenya Accreditation Service (KENAS) is to examine and monitor diverse organization both in public and private sector that carries out conformity assessment activities. This includes; testing, calibration, medical laboratories, certification, inspection and verification bodies etc.

KENAS was first established in 1984 as National Calibration Service and finally given its current name in 2004. It is headed by Mr. Ngeny Biwoot amongst other directors.

Qualifications for KENAS Recruitment 2025

To get appointed for any of these positions, here are the criteria you must meet.

1. Executive Office Administrator

    • Candidates interested in this position must have a minimum of eight (8) years relevant work experience either in the Public or Private sector.
    • Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Secretarial Studies from an approved institution.
    • Should be proficient in relevant computer programs.
    • Must possess good communication skills.
    • Must have completed a management course of at least one (1) month.

    2. Manager Internal Auditor

      • Interested candidate should possess a minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in either Public or Private sector.
      • Must hold a first degree in either Commerce, Business Administration or a closely related discipline.
      • Those with master’s degree or equivalent qualification have an added advantage.
      • Candidate must be a certified information system auditor (C.I.S.A) from an accredited tertiary institution.
      • Applicant must be registered with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
      • Must have complete a professional management course of at least six (6) weeks.

      3. Manager Human Resource and Administration

        • Applicant must have a minimum of ten (10) years experience in Public or Private sector.
        • Must hold a Bachelor and Master’s degree in either Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Sociology etc.
        • Must be a member of relevant professional body.

        4. Project Assistant Officer (Component VI)

        • Interested applicant must hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in either Statistics, Project Management, Business Admin or Social Science course etc.
        • Candidate must have gained at least three (3) years professional work experience related to Project Implementation or Coordination.
        • Candidate must be conversant with Monitoring and Evaluation (M & E) processes.
        • Should be able to use relevant project management, document, and reporting tools.
        • Applicant must be hold a valid certified in relevant computer applications.

        5. Project Assistant Officer (Component V)

        • Ideal candidate for this position must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Public Relations, Media Studies or a closely related discipline.
        • Applicant must have at least three (3) years of relevant work experience in Marketing or a closely related discipline.
        • Applicant must be experienced in supporting events, producing communication content etc.
        • Should have relevant experience as a graphic designer in creating engaging and impactful marketing materials.
        • Applicants with relevant experience in government led projects have a plus.
        • Candidate must be a computer literate.

        6. Marketing & Engagement Specialist

        • Persons interested in this position must have a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in Business Development, Marketing or a closely related field.
        • Candidate must possess a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in either Business Administration, Marketing, Project Management etc. from an accredited institution.
        • Candidate must be a registered and active member of a relevant professional body.
        • Should be conversant with relevant computer applications.

        7. System Developer (Full Stack)

        • Prospective applicant of this recruitment exercise must hold either a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in either Software Engineering, Information Technology etc.
        • Prospective applicant must have a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in full stack software development.
        • Should be a registered and active member of relevant professional body.
        • Prospective applicant must have professional certification in software development or data base management.
        • Must be conversant with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript or anyone related.
        • Candidate must have strong experience in end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC).

        Eligibility Criteria for KENAS Recruitment 2025

        • Citizenship: Interested applicants must be Kenyan citizens with valid National Identity Card or Passport. Preferably should currently reside in the Country.
        • K.C.S.E: Candidate must hold the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum of D+ mean grade including English and Kiswahili languages or an equivalent qualification.
        • Constitutional Compliance: In line with chapter six (6) of Kenya constitution, each candidate must possess clearance certificates from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Ethics Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and a reputable Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) etc.
        • Personal Attributes: Applicants of this recruitment exercise must possess good interpersonal, Communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
