Eligibility Criteria for Police Constable Recruitment 2025

In order for you to be considered eligible for a police constable position, you must meet the following general requirements:

• Applicants must be a Kenyan citizen with a valid National Identity Card.
• Applicants must be between 18 and 28 years old.
• Applicants should be physically and medically fit for police duty.
• Applicants must meet the minimum height standard (5 feet 8 inches for men; 5 feet 3 inches for women).
• Applicants must not have any criminal record or pending criminal charges.
• National Youth Service (NYS) graduates who meet all other criteria are highly encouraged to apply.
• Female Applicants must not be pregnant at the time of recruitment or during the nine months of training.

How to Apply for Police Constable Recruitment 2025

Applicants should note that the application process does not involve submitting through an online application form. Instead, you print the application form online and apply in person. Below are the steps to take:

1. Carry originals and photocopies of the following documents:
   • National ID Card
   • Birth Certificate
   • KCSE Certificate
   • Other academic certificates if any
   • NYS Discharge Certificate (where applicable)
2. Then print and fill 2 copies of the Police Constable Recruitment application form in BLOCK (CAPITAL) letters and present them at the recruitment centre.
