Overview of Nakuru County Public Service Board

Nakuru County is one with a remarkable history amongst other fourty seven (47) counties of Kenya. The County formulation emerged as a result of the Kenya – Uganda railway line construction.

The Nakuru County Public Service Board (NCPSB) was orchestrated by the County Government Act to oversee the run of the County Public Service. This board was vested with responsibilities such as:

Setting up or terminating offices in the County Public Service.
Recruit and appoint most suitably candidates for diverse offices in the Public Service.
Act promptly in maintenance of the Public Service professional code of conduct and punish offenders.
Present regular reports to the County Assembly on the progressive moves of the board.
Make relevant suggestion or recommendation to the County Government.

Eligibility Criteria for Nakuru County Jobs 2025/2026

Generally, here are the requirements every candidate must meet irrespective of the position you wish to apply for.

Interested candidate must be a Kenyan citizen, reside in the Country and also hold a valid National Identity Card or Passport etc.
Applicant must hold a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) result with a minimum of D+ mean grade including Kiswahili and English languages.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required

Based on the position you wish to apply, below are the qualifications, skills and other relevant requirements.

1. County Chief Officer

Candidates interested should possess First degree or equivalent qualification from an accredited tertiary institution.
Applicants with a Master’s degree have an added advantage.
Interested candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years professional work experience.
Should have a proper understanding on government policies, functions and goals.

2. Mortuary Attendant III

Candidates applying for this position must hold a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with mean grade D and a certificate in Mortician.

3. Cook III

Candidates going for this role must have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with mean grade D plain.
Candidate must also be certified in Food and Beverage Production.

4. Health Administrative Officer III

Candidates applying must have a Diploma in Health Management or a comparable discipline from any accredited institution.
Applicant must be proficient in relevant computer applications.

5. Dental Technologist III

Ideal candidate for this role must have a Diploma in Dental Technology and a certificate in computer applications.

6. Livestock Production Assistant II

Ideal candidate must possess a Certificate in Animal Health and Production, Dairy Technology or a comparable discipline.
