Overview of Siaya County Public Service Board

The County Government of Siaya established the Public Service Board in line with relevant constitutional provision. The board is vested with the mandate to carry out the following functions:

Creating or dissolving offices in the County Public Service as the need arises.
Recruit and appoint eligible individuals for vacant positions in the County Public Service including city boards.
Take relevant disciplinary actions on offenders either by suspending or removal of such persons from appointed offices.
Promote professional code of conducts and values as specified in Article 10 and 232 of the County Public Service.

General Requirements for Siaya County Recruitment 2026

KCSE Result: Interested applicants of this recruitment exercise must possess the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with a minimal grade of D+ including English and Kiswahili.
Citizenship: Persons applying for these job vacancies are expected to be Kenyan citizens with valid National Identity Card or Passport.
Clearance: Holding valid clearance certificates from authorities like HELB, KRA, DCI, EACC, and CRB as outlined in chapter six of the constitution is mandatory.
Skills: Applicant must be ICT inclined, with certificate in relevant computer applications. Candidate should as well possess good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications for Siaya County Government Recruitment 2026/2027

In addition to the above, here are the criteria you must meet to qualify for appointment.

1. Records Management Officer

Interested persons must hold at least a Diploma or Degree in Information Science, Records Management or any other related discipline.
Candidate should possess at least three (3) or more years of professional work experience.

2. Public Relation Officer

Prospective applicants of this role must hold a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in either Communications, Journalism or Public Relations etc.
Applicant must have professional experience in the media field.
Should be a creative thinker, and possess ability to work under pressure.

3. Strategic Service Delivery Officer

Applicants with a Degree or Diploma can apply for this position.
Must have gained relevant work experience for a minimum of three (3) years.
Should hold good marketing, presentation, report writing and organizational skills.

4. Information Management Officer

Interested candidate must hold First Degree or equivalent qualification in ICT, Communication or a related discipline from any accredited institution Kenya.
