The Kenya Ministry of Defence recently announced vacant positions for civilian staff and invited applications from interested and qualified candidates. Persons interested were to visit the Public Service Commission jobs portal to fill and submit the ONE application form PSC2 (revised 2016).
After filling the form, candidates are to submit it at the Principal Secretary’s office, Ministry of Defence P.O. Box 40668 – 00100, Nairobi or hand delivered to Ulinzi House gate off Lenana Road on or before 20th January 2026.

KDF Civilian Job Vacancies 2026
1. Garden Assistant III – 30 Posts
The salary range for this position is Kshs 19,340 – 24,470 along side commuter allowance of Kshs 3,000 and leave allowance of Kshs 4,000. Note that this is a pensionable position and the requirements to get shortlisted are:
Applicant must hold the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum of D+ mean grade or a comparable qualification.
2. Support Staff/Sanitary Cleaners – 15 posts
The official salary range for this position is Kshs. 18,250 – 22,720 as well as Kshs 3,000 commuter allowance and leave allowance of Kshs 4,000. It is also a pensionable position.
To get shortlisted, applicant must be a computer literate and also hold KCSE with at least D plain mean grade.
